OC Mail & Shipping offers Live Scan fingerprinting services for background checks, licensing, employment, and more. Unlike traditional ink fingerprinting, Live Scan is a digital process — fingerprints are captured electronically and securely transmitted to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI.

What You'll Need

• A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).

• The “Request for Live Scan Service” form provided by your employer, licensing agency, or requesting organization.

Prices and Fees

Fees are broken up into two parts: rolling service fees and government required fees

• Rolling service fees: OC Mail & Shipping charges a $25 rolling fee for Live Scan Processing

For government fees, the different agencies who provide the background checks charge their own processing fees. Depending on the type of background check you require, you will be charged one or more of the following fees. OC Mail & Shipping does not keep these fees and are subject to change without notice.

• Department of Justice fees range from $0 to $42
• FBI fees range from $0 to $17
• Firearms fees range from $19 to $38
• Child Abuse fees range from $15 to $25
