Part Time Clerk – OC Mail & Shipping

Job Summary
The Part-Time Clerk supports daily store operations, provides excellent customer service, and assists with package handling, mailbox services, and retail transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide helpful, professional service
  • Process shipping transactions (USPS, FedEx, DHL) using store systems
  • Receive, log, and organize incoming packages
  • Assist customers with package pickup and mailbox inquiries
  • Maintain a clean and organized front counter, lobby, and work area
  • Perform basic notary or Live Scan tasks (if certified; optional)
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer questions
  • Handle retail sales, POS transactions, and cash drawer balancing
  • Follow store procedures for security, compliance, and package tracking
  • Support general tasks as assigned by the Store Manager or Owner

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Retail experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to move and lift 50 pounds
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Comfortable using computers, Google Suite and basic POS systems
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Friendly, professional communication
  • Candidates willing to become Notary and Live Scan certified will be prioritized

Schedule & Hours

  • Part-time: 12-25 hours, <40 hours

Pay

  • Hourly: $18.00 ($19.50 if willing to be certified for Notary and LiveScan)
  • Notary classes and certification paid for
  • LiveScan certification paid for
