OC Mail & Shipping Paid Package Pickup Terms and Conditions
By using OC Mail & Shipping’s Paid Package Pickup service (“Service”), you (“Customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions:
 
1. Service Overview
OC Mail & Shipping offers package pickup services for customers who wish to have their deliveries securely received, stored, and released by our staff. Packages may arrive via any major carrier, including but not limited to USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Amazon Logistics.
The Customer agrees to pay the applicable pickup or storage fee as outlined at the time of service registration.

2. Package Receipt
- OC Mail & Shipping will accept packages on the Customer’s behalf only after the Customer has enrolled in the Service and completed the required sign-up form. 
- Packages received before enrollment may be refused or subject to additional handling fees.
- Packages must be addressed clearly and legibly with the Customer’s registered name to ensure proper identification.
 
3. Storage and Pickup
- Packages will be held for up to 45 days without notice. After the storage period expires, unclaimed packages may be returned to sender or disposed of.
- Customers must present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of pickup.
-Authorized third-party pickups are permitted only if the Customer designates the individual in writing or through an approved account form.
 
4. Liability and Insurance
- OC Mail & Shipping’s liability for loss, theft, or damage to any package is strictly limited to $100 per shipment, unless otherwise required by law.
- OC Mail & Shipping is not liable for:
a) Damages or delays caused by the carrier before delivery to our facility.
b) Perishable, restricted, or improperly packaged contents.
c) Packages not retrieved within the designated holding period.
d) Package returned due to improper "OCMS Pickup" labeling
- Customers are encouraged to obtain additional insurance coverage directly through their carrier prior to shipment.
 
5. Prohibited Items
The Customer agrees not to use this Service for receipt of any prohibited, illegal, hazardous, or restricted materials as defined by local, state, or federal regulations. OC Mail & Shipping reserves the right to refuse, return, or report such packages to the appropriate authorities.
Additionally, OC Mail & Shipping will not accept the following without written approval and may return to sender or impose fines:
 - Oversized shipments including but not limited to fridges, dishwashers, laundry machines, sofas, mattresses
 
 - Construction materials, perishables, or hazardous items
 
 - COD (cash/payment on delivery), freight, or palletized shipments
 
 
6. Payment and Fees
- Service fees (including pickup, storage, or handling) are due at the time of package release unless otherwise specified.
- Fees are non-refundable once the package has been received on the Customer’s behalf.
- OC Mail & Shipping reserves the right to adjust pricing and policies at any time with reasonable notice posted in-store or online.
 
7. Abandoned Packages
Any package left unclaimed for more than 45 days after notification without notice may be considered abandoned. OC Mail & Shipping may dispose of or return the package at its discretion and without further liability to the Customer.
 
8. Communication and Notification
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information (email and phone number) to receive delivery notifications. OC Mail & Shipping is not responsible for missed notices due to incorrect or outdated customer information.
 
9. Indemnification
The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless OC Mail & Shipping, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use or misuse of the Service, including but not limited to issues related to prohibited contents or third-party claims.
 
10. Amendments
OC Mail & Shipping reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted in-store and/or on our website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
 
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California.
